You do everything using the touch screen and there are plenty of details that give the game substance: managing the sails, controlling the helm, and tactical phases where you have to move out of enemy ships' field of vision. The different phases of the game (map moves, control of the vessel, and naval battles) dovetail perfectly with each other, and each offers its own particular gameplay. Nowadays this is rarity that can't be ignored! Particularly good playabilityĪssassin's Creed Pirates boasts all the best features of the series on mobile. It's particularly pleasing to note that Assassin's Creed Pirates doesn't offer an optional in-app purchases: once you've paid for the application on the Google Play Store, you actually have the entire contents without having to pay additional fees. The progression system in the game is very well thought out and you'll take great pleasure in slowly developing your small band of pirates.
